These terms apply when you use SlotSheet, a free service for creating and filling in sign-up sheets, running Secret Santa gift exchanges and finding meeting times with polls, run by the SlotSheet team in the Sultanate of Oman ("we"). By using the service you agree to them.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area). If you use SlotSheet for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
2. The service
SlotSheet is free and funded by advertising. We may change, pause or stop features at any time. We try to keep it running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, so keep your own copy (print or CSV) of anything important.
3. Private links
When you create a sheet, a Secret Santa group or a meeting poll you receive a private organizer link, and when you sign up, pick your name or answer a poll your browser keeps a private link to your entry. Anyone with a private link can use it, so keep it safe. We do not collect email addresses and cannot recover lost links.
In a Secret Santa group, pick only your own name. The organizer is responsible for typing the right names and for resetting a name picked by mistake. We draw names at random but cannot guarantee that every gift arrives; the exchange itself is between the people taking part.
In a meeting poll, answer only under your own name. Names are not verified; the organizer can remove answers and is responsible for the time chosen and for telling people about it.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use SlotSheet to:
- post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or harmful to minors;
- run scams, phishing, spam or advertising, or link to malicious websites;
- collect sensitive personal information (health, ID numbers, payment details, children's data beyond a first name) or share someone's personal information without permission;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights, or impersonate anyone;
- overload, scrape, probe or try to break the service or its security.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You allow us to store, display and process it only to run the service. You are responsible for your content, and organizers are responsible for having a good reason to collect the names on their sheets.
6. Reports and removal
Anyone can report a sheet, Secret Santa group or meeting poll on the report page. We may hide or delete content that breaks these terms or the law, and anything reported by several people is hidden automatically until we review it. Removed content shows a notice explaining that it was taken down. If you think we made a mistake, write to slotsheet.help@gmail.com and we will review the decision.
7. Advertising
Ads are supplied by Google and its partners. We do not control or endorse the advertisers, and dealings with them are between you and the advertiser.
8. No warranty and limit of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data, or for content posted by users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
